This one’s for my dogs.  Two huge pieces of my heart.  I love to believe that they need me more than I need them.  On paper, what we have seems unbalanced-almost parasitic.  It seems like a lot to give.

This past weekend as I was driving home from Tobermory, my husband and I were sucked in by the siren-call of a flea market.  Couldn’t help it.  The gems you’ll find in these little country towns are unparalleled and they’re literally a fraction of the prices in Toronto (of course).

There are a few issues in dog training that niggle at me (is that a word?).  No matter who I ask or what I read I get the same answers.  And they never seem to be enough.

Sometimes in dog training there are methods that are tried and true.  We use them because they work.  We recommend them without even thinking twice…and rightfully so.

I’m one of four children.  Let me rephrase that.  I’m one of four children all born within four years.  I’m also a twin.  That means my mum (spelled with a “u” because she’s English), had a pair of twins, an eighteen month old boy and a four year old daughter by the time she was thirty-two.

I’ve been working in the dog daycare/dog walking industry for the last six years.  Wow does time fly.  I’m sure I came into the business a lot like most of my colleagues.  I’d been working in a career that I most definitely wasn’t in love with, and I was looking for something different.
