- Puppy Play Socialization
Puppy Play Socialization
Have you welcomed a new furry family member recently and are concerned about proper socialization? In these unprecedented times, getting your puppy out and about is more complicated than ever. Here at Follow The Leader, we see the results of inadequate socialization far too often. That’s why we’ve decided to offer drop off puppy play sessions, in accordance with the CDC’s social distancing recommendations. Not only will your puppy get a chance to learn proper play skills with other puppies, they will also get to socialize with our instructors who will be practicing handling, manners, recall, and appropriate greetings.
We understand how hard it can be to be away from your puppy, even for a short time, so we will also be live streaming these play sessions so you can monitor how your puppy is doing! Puppies will be closely supervised and grouped according to age, size, and personality to ensure everyone has a good time.
Safety is a top priority, for both our staff and our clients, so we will be taking several additional precautions to make this as risk-free as possible. Some of these include:
Contactless drop off and pick up
Instructors will be washing their hands every 15 minutes
Instructors will be wearing masks
Puppies will be using our equipment
Puppies will be wiped down with pet-friendly cleansing wipes before going home
NEW! Shy Puppy Social
Are you hoping to take advantage of our puppy socials, but worried your pup is too shy? Is your little one lacking confidence and easily overwhelmed? We have you covered! Follow The Leader is now offering Shy Puppy Social! These socials will run at half capacity (maximum of 10 dogs) to ensure each puppy has a chance to settle in without becoming overstimulated. We’ll focus on slow introductions to other puppies, as well as confidence-building exercises. These sessions will take place once a week on Sundays from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. Spots are limited, and we reserve the right to ask you to switch your puppy to our regular socials if we feel it’s more appropriate. Help your shy puppy blossom into a confident dog!
